List #43: What's on your declutter list?
Fortunately, I have been decluttering a lot lately, so there's not a ton left:

* Office/Craft room
* My closet
* The garage
* My bookshelf at work
* Magazine collection
* Our Genetics Department shared drive

Not too bad. Any decluttering or spring cleaning on your list?

52 Lists/52 Weeks: #42

#42: 12 Things Learned in 2012

1. The DrawSomething app is awesomely addictive

2. I'm seriously losing interest in Facebook. Too many people complaining or pushing their beliefs on everyone else, too much public arguing, too many details about personal life/childrearing/relationships that I don't care to know, etc, etc

3. I can handle clinic as the only counselor.

4. I don't like handling clinic as the only counselor.

5. I have a hard time keeping up with all my online interests

6. Slowly learning details about my upcoming birthday party

7. How to use our sprinkler system

8. How much my coworker hates public speaking (even though she shouldn't because she does fantastic, but she psyches herself out too much!)

9. Just how many crafty-minded people are out there

10. That taking 2 cats and one large puppy to the vet can take a whole day, cost way too much money, and totally wear me out!

11. That Woodchuck seasonal flavors are delicious

12. Just how much I still enjoy reading

52 Lists/52 Weeks: #40 Revisited

Remember Week 40's list was to take note of all the good things that week. This week definitely had a lot of good things!

* Beautiful spring weather
* Chance had Saturday off work
* We got tons of yard work done
* I planted some new pretty flowers
* It was an easy work week (Dr. out of town=no patients)
* Builder came out and finally got some repairs done
* Chance got off work early on Tuesday (in fact, he has not worked late all week)
* Yummy dinner Tuesday night (steak and broiled potatoes, onion, and broccoli)
* Had fun giving a genetics talk at Baylor on Wednesday
* Rain!
* Getting caught up at work
* Participating in the new Cancer Prevention Study
* Getting in to the eye doctor before our insurance ends
* Birthday surprises
* Another yummy dinner and our first "Date of the Month Club" date night Friday

So many little things to be thankful for. Life is good.

Saturday 3/24/12: Yard work day

Sunday 3/25/12: I believe red velvet pazookie and ice cream is a perfectly acceptable Sunday morning breakfast

Monday 3/26/12: Cancer Genetics Meeting in Dallas today

Tuesday 3/27/12: Wow. First you tell me I'm probably going to die, and then you ask me for money. 30 is going to be awesome.

Wednesday 3/28/12: Glorious rain. Funny how now that we are homeowners, we care so much more about the weather

Thursday 3/29/12: Enrolled for Cancer Prevention Study today

Friday 3/30/12: I have some of the BEST friends and family a girl could ask for! Tons of little birthday surprises arrived for me today!

P365: Week 11



Saturday 3/17/12: Chance wouldn't let me post photo of the day right away, so we had to make due with "announcement to come" which of course makes everyone think we are pregnant, since everyone else I know seems to be knocked up these days. Sorry to disappoint. Still no baby here. BUT, we are very excited that Chance has accepted a new job at Lifetime Fitness!!! This is a really big deal, and I am so proud of him! This is the first time ever that he has taken a new job because he WANTED to, not because he HAD to. And Lifetime really doesn't hire management from outside the company, but Chance is just so awesomely fantastic that they couldn't pass him up!

Sunday 3/18/12: Dex, the newest addition to the Nichols' house.


Monday 3/19/12: Guess I'm still allergic to dogs

Tuesday 3/20/12: There was previously a shelf hanging here, but it decided to jump off the wall tonight. Apparently, I am not the carpenter I think I am.

Wednesday 3/21/12: Working on a presentation we are giving at Baylor next week

Thursday 3/22/12: "Put the camera down and play with me, lady"

Friday 3/23/12: Lucy's secret hideout

*My great grandma for being one of the kindest hearted people I've ever known...gosh I miss her!
*Many wonderful bloggers who make it look so easy to balance work, family, crafting, blogging, etc and who seem to be always filled with happiness while doing it
*A small handful of bloggers and/or friends who constantly remind me to enjoy the simplicity in life. There is always a list of stuff that needs to be done, but life is much more enjoyable if we stop and appreciate what we have and celebrate the little things!
*Children. Full of innocence, curiosity, and love. A few things we could all use a bit more of.

Saturday 3/10/12: Finished decorating the breakfast nook

Sunday 3/11/12: The kiddy-cats frolicking in the yard on a beautiful day.

Monday 3/12/12: This is the result of turning your back for 5 seconds when you live with a cat who was born with unattended-drink-radar. ALL over the counter, IN the drawer, down the outside AND inside of the cabinets, soaking my magazine that came in today, and splashing an approximately 3 foot radius, plus paw prints from the kitchen to the living room. Awesome.

Tuesday 3/13/12: No words needed. It was that kind of day.

Wednesday 3/14/12: What would I do without the two of you?

Thursday 3/15/12: Leslie is back in the office and we are counting down the weeks for her honey to come home!

Friday 3/16/12: FINALLY got a lightbulb for the fridge!

Saturday 2/25/12: Lots of fun volunteering at the first Texas Angels Pageant

Sunday 2/26/12: Soon to be kitchen valances. Just need a little modification first.

Monday 2/27/12: Pretty new bedding thanks to Target. Next project: headboard.

Tuesday 2/28/12: Stacks of work to be done today.

Wednesday 2/29/12: Celebrating leap year with a haircut.

Thursday 3/1/12: It was a froyo kind of day.

Friday 3/2/12:
Chance: "There's a curtain haning in our tub."
Me: "I know. I put it there."
Chance: "Do people do that?"
Me: "Hang shower curtains?"
Chance: Hang shower curtains in tubs. With no shower."

I don't know. But I do. How else can I keep the sun out of my eyes when I'm trying to oversleep every morning?!
